Something of an update

Okay, first week of school was pretty okay. I've definitely bitten off more than I can chew here. At least I have a break with French being my only class on Tuesdays (Thursdays I have French and Physics lab).

Creative Writing:
Great for kickstarting myself back into the habit of writing. I wrote the first draft of a play. Unfortunately, the teacher is very unclear about what is due for the next class.

Sci-Fi Literature:
Great! The teacher, Silvio, is a great guy. He is also the advisor for Sci-Fi club. I am surrounded by friends (Ginger, Turtles, Kendig, Tyres, and Lobster Girl- yes, those are all nicknames). But Lobster Girl doesn't like it and says she wants to drop the class. Which means Turtles and maybe Kendig will drop as well, since most of our reasons for being there was because she suggested we all take it together.
But I will not drop. I love it. The discussions are lively, the teacher is great, and we are zooming through our book list (we are already almost done with our first- Frankenstein).

Physics:
The teacher isn't that exciting, and he can't answer any math-related questions for some reason, but he's okay. The class is nice so far. Very relaxing, as we are just getting started. We are currently learning about who theorized what in the Earth/Sun revolutions. Last class, we watched a video about Galileo and Copernicus. I have a very VERY similar video at home called The Big Bang. I do hope we'll be getting into more soon.

Japanese:
The same as last semester, but we no longer have the cushion of romanized text to read. We also are discussing more about culture.

French:
I already blogged about this class earlier. I still love it. It's challenging, yet relaxing at the same time. Aah the effects of the ultimate romance language.

Physics Lab:
Our table are astonished by how quickly some other groups are getting out of that class. It's 2 hours long because it's only once a week. We have between 10 and 15 pages of charts to fill out after conducting experiments. Those other students must either be from a separate class, or they are cheating massively. Anyway, my group are very cool people. One of which I know through another friend whom I haven't seen in about 2 years. So far, we are just doing motion-based experiences. Position, velocity, acceleration, time... not the way I prefer to spend two hours of a Thursday.

Health:
I have been exhausted lately. Why? I don't know, because I sure don't do much except watch tv, surf the internet, draw, write, read, do homework, and, you know, input/output. But I haven't been feeling well for the past couple days. I suffered a hot flash and migraine (my first since I was 9) last night. And the night before, I fainted for no visible reason. I haven't fainted since I was 12. I was so embarrassed, I started crying. On the way down, I injured my left hand, and landed on my dress-form (thankfully, it did not break). Charles says I am tired or stressed. He also wonders if it's my diet. I eat just fine, I think. A meal here and there and veggie and nut snacks between. But I do forget to drink water, and sometimes I forget to eat all day. I don't think that's it, though. I think it's coincidence. I feel okay tonight. Just a slight headache, probably from staring at my screen for too long.

If your on a all carb diet that may affect your stress levels. My husband and his friend both tried it and they both got grumpy and stressed out. What kind are you trying?

Also, if any of the stuff your doing for me is adding onto it just let it go for awhile. We can just correspond via e-mail or lj. I don't want you to over work yourself. Maybe it would help if you tried to spend a little time and money on yourself. A Bath with lots of candles and bath salts relaxes me. I know everybody has their own thing though. ^_^

My diet plan right now is, avoid too many sweets, don't eat when you're bored, and snack healthy.
But sometimes when I get really busy, I forget to eat all together.
Now that I think about it, when I do eat, it's usually carbs. Potatoes, rice, pasta and bread (though I'm not supposed to eat pasta and bread due to gluten).
I need to really examine what I'm consuming and actually PLAN. Yikes.

No, no, actually, sewing and pen-pal stuff is actually all fun and happy for me, but I am not getting the chance to do it at all lately.

I do need a nice long bath. My cousin gave me my favourite bubble-bath scent for x-mess and I have yet to try it out.

More leafy greens! Is there somewhere you can buy a wheatgrass shot? I've been really good avoiding gluten so far this year. I know it's only January but it's so hard to avoid that I think a month is a valid achievement.

You could try adding frozen spinach to your pasta/rice meals. Drink water!

Oh yes, I do also have plenty of spinach! It's my favourite leafy green :) I frequent the salad bar.
What the heck is a wheatgrass shot?

For reals. I've been trying to exorcise more often. Juggling practice gets too frusterating.

Ufff... As for the health: drink, girl! Something non-alcoholic ;) Forgetting to drink is the usual way for me to get a migraine. As for me, fruit help me, too, even if it's just (backed) apples.

But for your classes: woah, I want to have such classes, too! Except for the physics lab, I'm through five of those and all were terrible. But you so need to tell me what books and authors were mentioned in the science fiction - literature class once it's finished! Btw, as I'm already on SF: I've finished 'Ender's Game'. That was one impressive book and actually the reason why I only had two hours sleep one of my last nights in Amsterdam. I needed to finish it!
