All the Swears.

I had to bail out of my final cake-decorating class today because when the time came to leave, I took my cake out of the oven and it was COMPLETELY UNCOOKED in the middle. Like, not even close to being done. And I hadn't even gotten to cleaning my tips yet (that doesn't take long, but I still needed to do it before I left). I was very upset, and started to cry. We were learning leaves, vines, sweet pea blossoms, and ribbons today.

But I am done crying over it, and can now move into drinking an excessive amount of rum and cramming my face with cookies and straight-up Crisco (kidding. eew).

At least I can use this cake to practice... though the mix tasted a little... metallic. I hope that means it was raw mix, and not that I added an ingredient that went bad. I'll be pissed as soon as I recover from Salmonella Fitzgerald poisoning.

And to start it all off, I got kicked out of my English 213 class for not having my book.
Hope everyone out there in LJ land is having a better evening than I am.

I can look on the bright side today. I had the time to get the cake to come out perfect, had the time to clean up afterwards, and had the time to come up with a new design (and now have 3 pounds of icing to use up). hehehe.
*hugs*
Am I still sending you mail to M.?

Well, that sounds a lot of better!

Jup, to M. We kind of have mailbox issues with the new place - in short: no key for it. So Munich is the better place to send letters to right now!

All the swears + 1 on your behalf.
I hate how ovens which cook perfectly evenly one day can bone you solid with cold spots the next. Usually when you're trying to impress somebody with something you've cooked for yourself a hundred times before.

It's Murphy's Law... if something works right, it will pick the least convenient time to stop working. And if something's broken, it will have magically fixed itself when you take it in to get fixed >:(
