I'm going to use this summer to really crack down on some things that need to get done.

1. I FINALLY finished my website, and it's simple enough, but still looks nice enough that I may keep it this way forever... before, I always changed and changed and changed its design, but every time, it was never EVER complete, but this time, it is totally done, so I am thrilled.

2. I spent over 400 dollars on arch supports. It was brutal, and it still is. I have Plantar Fasciitis (inflamation of the plantar fascia- the band of muscle that stretched up the bottom of the foot, from the heel to the ball). I got a new doctor back in January who said it's just a heel spur and stretching it will help. Well, here I am in June. The pain got so bad that I had to call for another appointment and I got a different doctor. This guy was amazing compared to the first (the first guy barely even looked at me). He was extremely informative and actually gave me a proper diagnosis. I requested that he be my doctor from now on. Anyway, he suggested some exorcises (not just stretches) and even offered me a cortisone shot (I didn't take it because I was going to be walking to the cafe after my appointment and knew it'd be sore if I got the shot, though in retrospect, I probably should have taken it). So anyway, the arch supports are okay sometimes, but they make me sore, because they are working muscles that I don't usually use while re-shaping my feet. It's odd.

3. I got some books yesterday (none of them comics, though, which felt a little weird):
Boneshaker, by Cherie Priest (on Warren Ellis's suggestion, as well as others')
L'etranger, by Albert Camus (The Stranger, in its original language)
Candide, by Voltaire (in its original language)
(a couple other short story collections in French, because I found the untranslated section in the bookstore).
Touch the Devil, by Jack Higgins (on Charles's father's suggestion)
Tideland, by Mitch Cullin (on a stranger's suggestion, after seeing Brazil, who said it's more disturbing than the film).
Breakfast of Champions, by Kurt Vonnegut (a gift from my friend Kevin).
Of course, I still have to finish reading a couple things before I bump a couple of these to the top of my list.

4. I also got a book of verlan expressions in French, because I may be translating (or helping to translate, as there have been other offers) essrose's comic book Serenity Rose! I sent him what I had (the first two pages -minus backstory- of Volume 2) and he promised to keep me in the loop, in case the other two offers backed out or became overwhelmed or if he decided to do a team thing. :)

That's all, I think. Oh! BUY MY STUFF! It's cheap, and I ship anywhere!

#2. I have it in my right foot. *shrug* It goes away because it is just an inflammation, especially if you change your footwear each day (not just putting in arches) and do the exercises.

Your first doc needed to be left anyway. Stretching doesn't help heel spurs, it actually makes the pain of them worse. Heel spurs are hard calcifications that rub, poke and pinch. My mom and Uncle had them, and stretching worsens the pain. Fuckin' moron.

#3. I have to read Boneshaker for my book club. I should probably get to that. I won't but I probably should. Thanks for the reminder.

#4. Serenity Rose is my niecelette's (ie: my grand niece) name. Just saying for odd coinkydinkyness.

(sorry if you got a different comment from me- it meant to go to someone else, but something's wonky with my internets or something)

The exercising are working and I bought new shoes :) Yeah, my first doctor was a stinky twat.

I have to read a friend's novel first, and I think Boneshaker will be next :) I wish I were in a book club, but I am terrible with reading things in a timely fashion.

I was considering that as a name if I ever spawned :)

I like it a lot how the website looks now <3

And ugh, arch support :/ I love them on one hand, on the other they are a bitch at the beginning, my feet always hurt like crazy till I get used to a new pair.

Thanks <3
Yeah, they're a big pain, but I'm getting used to it already, and my plantar fasciitis is almost totally gone.
