Happy 50th Birthday

Waaay back in the day when I reminded my little sister that my mother's 50th birthday was coming up, she told me she's always wanted to wake up with a horse's head in her bed. So I made one for her. Unfortunately, I only work well under the pressure of an approaching deadline, so I waited until the day of the party to make it. It only took about 5 hours- 4 if you count that I took a break to ease a growing headache halfway through. We didn't get to sneak it into her bed as she slept, which I had no problem with... I had thought for a very long time about this gift; mainly WHAT THE FUCK, WHY would she want to wake up with a horse head in her bed courtesy of The Godfather? I questioned it every step of the way. Is this a plot to give her a heart attack and somehow slide the whole ordeal on me? Is this a way to further push me out of their family? Like wrapping their holiday presents in Winter, the whole creation process was filled with doubt, anger, and repressed memories of my gifts going in terribly hurtful ways, no matter how much effort I put into it. But it seemed to go off well anyway. I presented it in the kitchen with mum, my sister and her boyfriend in the room. My sister changed her mind about how good the idea was when she saw it, saying she didn't think it'd look so creepy and life-sized, and she was hoping for something more small and cartoony. It's got Xs over the eyes, I said. Anyway... here it is:

That's freaking awesome!

So you didn't end up leaving it on her pillow?
