Got up before 6am to get dressed and head out to my polling place. Really glad it wasn't freezing out there because it would not have been such a nice walk. Then I walked over to my friend Meagan's house down the road to wait for our friends Kathy and Brigid. We all went to Susan B. Anthony's gravesite to put our "I Voted" stickers on her grave. We were supposed to get commemorative Susan stickers that read "I voted because of people like her" with her photo on it, but there were no such stickers being handed out. I was pretty bummed about that. But I had a nice time anyway. We all went out for coffee afterwards before I got dropped off at work. There really need to be more breakfast dates in my future.

(mine's the sticker right between February and 15)

(weird question but did they wind up putting anything over the stone? i know the sticker adhesive is bad for it, so I'm just curious)

Nope. The stone gets covered in stickers every year. I didn't realize the sticky is bad for it, but then again, they've got all the power of a post-it, so I'm not sure how marring it would be.

my friend who's really up on historical preservation said it's been removed for repair a few times and it's getting on towards a point where they might have to get a whole new stone, or something?

idk. i can ask her about it. it was a while ago.
