College / Start Over

For a long time, I hadn't really found something I feel passionate about, academically. After realizing that I'm going to fail this terrible class that I failed last semester, I've decided that medical assisting is not for me. The two fields I want to get into someday that relate to the majour are ones that don't require a degree, and I do NOT want to take that one class ever again. I tried. Twice. And there is just no way. At first I thought it was the teacher. It was, but I think now that it is also the course. It's so terrible. There is absolutely NO learning involved, and therefore, I can't handle even being there.

Anyway, so to a different path I go.

That path leads to... community college. I'm going to start over, get some preliminaries out of the way and start my concentration on majouring in Japanese (with a minor in German of course), and after I have the basics covered at MCC, I'm going to go to U of R, or maybe RIT (that's Monroe Community College, University of Rochester, and Rochester Institute of Technology for non-locals).

I've set up an appointment to see someone on Wednesday after my last class at Bryant and Stratton, and hopefully will do this right.

Because I've thought long and hard over the past few weeks about what I want to majour in for long enough to get a Bachelor degree. And the only thing I have really had a passion for forever is Japanese.
Of course I love my art, and will probably take some art and writing classes, too, but I don't love it enough to be forced to work on it, change it, and have someone tell me it's wrong. Because how can art be wrong?

So that's my plan.

In other news, I scored the following DVDs: Tin Man v1&2, Paprika, and Steamboy. And Tuesday, I'll get Juno. The really cute Asian boy at Blockbuster spoke highly of the first deleted scene, and made me blush all kinds of red.

Repost, because of an awfully wrong word o_O

This sounds like a decision you have thought over really well.
And regarding the fact that you have posted and written about it already a while ago, I know that it does not only sound like, but is it. And you know what - *hugs* And all, all best wishes that you succeed!!!

(And you know somebody you could always ask for help with German ^.~)
