My favourite movie is Heavenly Creatures.

It's the true story about two best friends, Pauline Parker and Juliette Hulme, who murder Pauline's mother when she threatens to split them apart. This is where I got my username for most of my online profiles. Diello is the name of one of their imaginary clay creations.

Also, it should be of interest that mystery writer Anne Perry is the pen name of Juliette Hulme- in case you wanted to know what became of one of them. I've heard Pauline became a horseback riding instructor / hermit somewhere in NZ.

(runners up: Repo! The Genetic Opera; Weirdsville; Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me; City of Lost Children; Perfume; and Let the Right One In)

I've never seen this movie; I'll add it to my list!

I love this movie.

There's a documentary continuation of it that I saw in New Zealand, about what happened to the girls after, psychoanalysis, etc.

So interesting.

I have to have it!

One of them (Pauline?) went on to write crime fiction, as I discovered years ago when I got a murder mystery out of the book shop bargain bin and was totally freaked out by the author biography.

Too macabre for me but you might want to look into it?

I put that in the post, silly human! It was Juliette who became Anne Perry.
