That's our workplace conversation today.

In other news, we are applying to two places. Harvard St. is at the top of the list, and next is one we saw today on Meigs. They're great, but I'm really REALLY hoping for Harvard.

In different-other news, I'm going to start the one-a-day quotes from books thing again. Since I left off on 12 quotes, I'll start back up on the 13th and we'll go on pretending this was a new-year's thing. I was half-stalling because I haven't been reading much, and half-stalling because I lost my commonplace book (where I keep my book passages).

Diet thing is going pretty well. I've lost 6 lbs since the beginning of the year (unfortunately, I am a little behind on my exercises due to my... bicycle bits being in pain. I like that I can do 200 crunches before Charles can even do ten (ten is being generous here). But I'm sure he can beat my ass at push-ups. I need to find a way to work away my hey-babies (the part of my arm that jiggles when I say "hey, baby!" and wave). Any suggestions?

You are moving? *is confused*

I'm so sorry you didn't hear a lot from me lately. Life happened or rather work happened, it's eating up my brain :/

I know you were crazy busy with the degree and work and the religious picture re-creations ;) I've been really busy lately, too, so I can only read your adventures on lj once in a while.

Yes, I am moving at the end of the month, but not far. Just somewhere else in Rochester, to an area where I can walk to places, like cafes and shops, and museums and stuff.

I have something to send you, but I don't think I have an updated address for you.

Well, that sounds like moving that will make you happy (I hate it when everything is to far away, I'll stay at home the whole day then and get sadder and sadder).

I'll PM it to you in a minute. Will you give me yours once you moved? I also have something, but I don't think it will be there before you move, so better send it at the beginning of the next months to the new address!

Did you live there before? The address seems familiar.
Of course I'll send you my new address :) Still trying to find a place, though. There is a possibility of a perfect half-house, but I haven't heard back from them yet. I'm getting so impatient!

I did before my recent trip to the USA :D

I hope you heard back from the in the meantime. Half-house sounds really great *_* (Space + less neighbours is always great!)

Your Hey Babies are called 'tuck shop arms' or 'bat wings' here. They are the bane of every woman and I have been doing an exercise for them: (Official name of exercise escapes me right now)

Take one sturdy chair/bench/wooden seating device.
Sit on the very edge of it with your hands gripping the edge of the bench just under your butt, arms straight down (You should basically be sitting on your hands but don't turn your wrists to actually sit on your hands) then

AHAHAHA I remembered the name! Behold! Tricep Dips!:

Lol her yankee enthusiasm. I do not look anything like that when doing them. I am very slow with a steady downwards motion rather than her jaunty 'dip'. I started out with a goal of five total because of shoulder injury. A couple of months later and just after Christmas I did 15. I was so proud of my shoulder. I do them on a park bench on my local outdoor circuit. I'd be scared of a flimsy chair.

My friend who is crazy increases the intensity by doing it with her legs casually crossed straight out in front of her. When I no longer feel the incredible suffering of tricep dips I might try that.
