Soul Smell

I had a table at a Gothic Garage Sale on Sunday afternoon/evening. I made out pretty well, but spent about half my earnings. Sold most of my Sandman comics, and bought a blood necklace (a licensed phlebotomist and blood artist was set up by a couch downstairs, drawing blood and turning them into necklaces. So I have my own blood around my neck, and it's pretty cool).

After, Brendan and Casey invited us over to their house for a bonfire and pizza. We huddled on a blanket in the lawn to watch the total lunar eclipse, too (most of which I saw in the parking lot of a Wegmans grocery store while Charles went to get chips). We had a lot of fun, drank a little bit of booze, tried out my 3-year-old birthday absinth finally (not the worst, but not good), and just had a really nice time.

Upon leaving, Brendan realized that I never got any of Paul's clothes (Paul was my soulmate, and Brendan is his brother, and he cleared out Paul's place after he died). We rummaged through the overstuffed garage and found a box of his shirts, some of which were ziplocked to keep the smell of his apartment in. He said he needed to dispense these to a couple other people who also got the shaft - I'm hoping I can have a few more in time.

I got an original press Nine Inch Nails BROKEN tshirt in a bag. I couldn't really smell remnants of Paul in the fabric, but I tried it on, and when I pulled it off again, oh my god, I nearly cried. The smell may no longer be in the fabric, but when the vinyl graphic ran past my nose, I got a whiff of Paul, and I began to tear up. I had Brendan smell it, and he agreed. It's still bagged in my dresser drawer.

How can I ever bring myself to wash it?

Was eyeing the Bauhaus patch the moment I got upstairs. I traded some of my Xmen comics for it.

Those shoes were an amazing find, because they weren't out right at the beginning, and I saw them at the last possible minute of the sale. They were only $5!!!!!! How did no one else snatch them up??

The blood vial is one of my favourite accessories! It's really subtle, but everyone who sees it knows exactly what it is :)
