What's In Your Bag

I did this for an old favourite thread in Whitechapel (returned to the new Whitechapel FB group), and thought I'd share it here, too.

The contents of my bag...

Firstly, the bags themselves:

I switch bags when it's convenient. In the winter, I tend to switch from heavier bags to lighter ones, so this season, I switched from my Handbag of Holding to the Cowboy Bebop messenger I grabbed from an anime shop called Hammergirl.

The Cephalopod bag was made by me, originally for a whatever bag, then altered into a knitting bag.

The fuzzy thing that looks like I skinned a muppet is one of my favourites (and is the one I'm carrying today). It's my sort of grab-bag bag that I'll use for whatever's convenient at the time - I switched from the messenger to "only essentials" last night for a movie outing, and I didn't feel like switching back just yet.

1) my watercolour kit- a pencil box filled with colours, water pens, microns, and pencils/erasers.

2) Bristol paper in large and half-size (hand-cut a pad in half and put it in the handmade binder with the stickers), and a pad of postcard-sized watercolour paper (my medium wc paper is MIA in the living room mess).

3) My day planner, from a gorgeous shop called Archimage. Also has an address book, which I so desperately needed (my old one became a bit unruly).

4) Chocolate chai- my current tea of choice (not pictured is the FreakAngels travel mug, which I think I left at work).

5) Pencils and pens, little scissors, Hard Candy lippy, Burt's Bees chappy, pink petroleum jelly, a flash drive I found, my glasses rag, and some trash.

6) My wallet, that I got in a Butterfly grab bag in Kensington Market - you'd think money goes in there, but that goes directly in my violin case (not shown) or my pocket. Any cards I have go in the wallet, though.

7) My Logitech noise-canceling headphones and their little bag (really great, but I wish they came in red).

8) My current (out) reading list: Beauty Queens, Daughters of Heaven, Knits of Tomorrow (my in reading list is 4 other books, currently).

9) Scrap paper.

10) My latest knits' yarns, knitting needles, and accessories

11) My sheet music, shoulder rest, and nail file (to keep my fingers nubby).

Interesting contents you got there :-) I love Burt's Bees honey lip balm - the best! I had to smile when I noticed how flammable the contents of your various satchels are. Don't know why that occurred to me, but when the zombie apocalypse occurs, you are going to be very helpful for starting a fire ;-)

Hah! I do have a zombie-apocalypse-ready bag with a flint and an axe!

This is a nice idea for a post, interesting to see what others carry around with them.

It's like looking into peoples' houses when trick-or-treating!
